I rarely go out of my way to do something different. I eat the same things, I go to the same places, I wear the same clothes. It's not that I'm scared of doing other things, I'm scared of the aftermath. What if I like the new thing more than the old thing? Is it going to affect other aspects of my life? I demand change but never achieve it. I always want to try new things, literally anything, a new food, a new style of clothes, new hair-color, new place to see, even something small like a new eye shadow color. But it never happens.

I realized half way through this post that I was getting too cynical and maybe a little too caliginous. I hate writing my feelings because they always take a turn for the worse despite me not being that sad haha

Maybe I'll start writing more. We'll see.

Many of the people who read this blog know me in real life. And many of them know I love my cat Shakira. Shakira is a black cat with a spunky personality and an obnoxious meow. Shakira also has 314 followers on Instagram. And even crazier than that Shakira has a photo that received 2,400 likes.. I know. So weird. But as Shakira's "momager" I'll tell you how to become slightly famous in the cat obsessed world of Instagram.

Know Your Audience

People love cute cats. But, people love cute cats with silly personalities more. If you have a cat that poses, sleeps in funny positions, does wild things or is just plain cute use that to your advantage.

Captions Are Important

Of course your initial photo will be the reason someone clicks on your profile but what makes them stay? CAPTIONS. Add a funny remark or something your cat would be thinking to make the cat photo relatable. No one likes a serious cat. Even Grumpy Cat's sarcastic banter is adorable.

Following Spree

The major key to success in becoming instafamous is developing a squad that would rival Taylor Swift's. Your cat needs cat friends. And those cat friends will provide likes on your cat's photo. Which will then make it appear in more people's search feeds. Which will attract more cat lovers to your page which creates more followers! And with more followers you get more likes which finally starts the whole cycle anew.

My dear cat lovers, your future in instagramming is attainable. Pursue your dreams by living vicariously through your cat. Cry a little when you realize your photo roll has 600 cat pictures. Live!

It's been almost an entire year since I wrote on this blog. Here's an update on me. I now live in Utah, I'm eighteen years old, and I work at Petsmart. And let me tell you, retail teaches you quite a few things about human kind. People can be impatient, rude, cruel, and sometimes just plain gross. And I think it's time I share a couple of my experiences.

On my second day of working in Pet Care an older gentleman approached me and asked me to bag some fish for him. I of course said yes and asked how many he wanted and what type. He then proceeded to ask for 200 small goldfish. Which is actually not that hard to do, but here's the catch. He demanded that they couldn't have black or white on them. That's the majority of what we have. It took me 45 minutes to catch the exact fish he wanted while he took the opportunity to mansplain about the proper fishing techniques and pond construction. I honestly thought I would fall asleep from boredom.

Now a cashiering story. On an evening shift I was the only cashier working. I had a small, happy lady come up with two bags of dog treats. I did my usual thing asking her for her number or email to get the PetPerks discounts. After I got that done I scanned her items. She was shocked to see the prices were much different than what she expected. I asked her where she got the products from and if she could show me the prices she had thought. After seeing where she got them I had to tell her that they had been put in the wrong place and were actually different than the PetPerk discount versions. She became very very upset. She demanded to speak to my manager. He showed up and was actually kind enough to take 25% off of one of the bags. Apparently that wasn't good enough for her so she only bought the discounted bag. When he left, she proceeded to call me inconsiderate and stupid for putting the bags in the wrong place. I told her I wasn't the one who put products away but that I was still sorry for the confusion. She huffed about it a little more a I put her treats in a bag. I handed her the products and two seconds later bam! She had picked up the treats she didn't buy and threw them at my face. It hurt pretty bad actually but she had already sprinted out of the store so she couldn't get in trouble. Oh well I guess.

So. Do I recommend working in retail? Not. At. All. But hey. We all have bills to pay and mouths to feed and money doesn't grow on trees. Good luck fellow retail employees. Good luck. :)
I know I know that sounds so deep and thought provoking but it's not. I've realized three things this summer that more often than not are true.

1. Opinions are important but it's usually best to keep them to ourselves. Especially while on Facebook. When other people's opinions are the opposite of yours it often leads to ugly arguments.

2. It's okay to care about what people think of you. Which of course sounds like a contradictory statement to the one above but it's true. Having pride in yourself is awesome but if we take it too far we become vain and vapid. Trying to please the world instead of ourselves. So it's a very fine line.

3. "As you get older things will seem more lame than before. Nothing will change but you, I promise."

Thanks for being patient.

But this morning I received a text from one of my best friends, Brandon. He told me he was looking at this blog... Imagine that. So this post is for him.

Yesterday during band I was asked to go to the office to copy a paper. Which I did. But as I was heading out, I heard people down the hall talking about me! The girl talking said this "Look at how she walks haha.. She looks like a ballerina" This is a very strange thing to say about someone but I tossed it aside and went about my business. But later in the day at track I heard another person say I ran like a ballerina! So I'm realizing that this is a common thing to say about me and so I'm assuming it's a compliment. It probably means I walk/run with confidence, grace, style and possibly like I have stick taped against my back. Or you know I walk on my toes..Cambriahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15244963443929827110noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-104766650369309533.post-43799109762869914222014-09-07T20:09:00.001-07:002014-09-07T20:09:46.431-07:00And 1 Thing That Makes Me SadDay 6: The hardest thing I've had to experience.

Writing about this will be very hard since I cry every time I talk about it. But, it's for the challenge so I must.
A few years back my grandmother passed away, and it was truly devastating. I remember the moment I found out, I was in the back of my Aunt's car next to my sister. We were all traveling to Denver to see her in the hospital. When we were told that she had passed away my stomach felt like it dropped. I had just lost one of my hero's, my kindest friend, and my wonderful grandma. The next few weeks were a struggle. I hardly ate and spent nights crying. But I kept going. I overcame the sadness and remembered the humor she brought into my life. I'm grateful for the many years I was able to have with my grandmother and I'm glad that I know I will see her again. :)

My Parents
I love my mom and dad very much and spend a lot of time with them. As the youngest in my family I've been able to go on more trips with them than my siblings. So we've had some good times. :) They've always given me good advice and shared great stories with me. I look up to the both of them.

Advice I'd Give My 16 Year-Old Self......
Um well I'm 16 now so instead I'll give my 12 year-old self some advice.

The world does not revolve around you unfortunately.

Don't base your self-worth on your looks.

NEVER compare yourself to others.Your achievements are just as incredible as theirs.

Good friends are important.

No one cares that you have crooked rabbit teeth and fluffy bangs, so get over it.

People are mean sometimes but remember what Grandma would say. " Put some lipstick on and keep your chin up!"

Life is good so live it well. :)

The End

Woooo going strong. :)
The challenge is to write about three legitimate I have and how they became fears.

1. Large Bodies of Water
I am terrified of the ocean, any large lakes, rivers, and ponds. I don't tell many people that because it's supposedly an "irrational" fear. But it IS rational, and I will tell you why. I went snorkeling on my trip to Hawaii a few years ago and was having a great time. I swam above the coral and felt confident until the reef ended. It was a straight drop off, the ocean floor was miles down. I panicked and couldn't breathe. My cousin came to my rescue but I've been scared ever since.

2.Being Alone
Yuck. I hate being alone just because there are too many things that could go wrong. I have this fear because when I was younger and home by myself I choked on Laffy Taffy and seriously almost died. But luckily I saved myself my ramming my torso into the counter until I threw up so yay! : /

3. BIRDS
GAH. They peck and scratch and attack and just no. Chickens are okay though, only because I grew up with them. I'm really not sure why other birds freak me out but whatever.

Bye.

OKAY. My lovely sister Channing told me to do this challenge with her and my brother, Blake. So let's get started..

Day One: List 20 Random Facts About Yourself

I'm horrible at remembering to do things. I always need to make lists.

My computer's space bar is missing! All I have is the little rubber nub...

I love cats.

I'm a cheerleader! And I'm the back spot for the stunt teams which means I have been smacked and kicked in the face by way too many flyers.

I love singing all the time. I will reply to people in song.

I'm bored of this challenge already.

I've been to lots of different states but haven't left the country yet.

Channing is my current BFF haha

I don't get very emotional unless I'm mad. If I'm angry there will be harm to others.

Gah I tried whitening my teeth today but it bleached my gums!

I read lots of books. Lately, they've all been Dan Brown books.

I'm not a big fan of cake.

I LOVE the Beatles.

I'm awful at math.

I also can't remember people's names.

I draw all the time.

My family is awesome

I'm addicted to Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.

I say "for real?" too much.

This list was boring, but I liked writing it.

Today was the funeral of one of my old classmates. And though I did not know him very well, I felt sad. He and I had messaged each other a few times over the past year since he left my school. We would say hello and see how the other was doing. After some time we lost contact, except for the occasional season greeting. And when I found out about his unexpected death, I realized something.

Life is a very precious thing that should not be wasted. If you feel lost and discouraged along the way, don't give up. Life was meant to have challenges, some are just much harder than others. It's strange how someone's death can make you really think about life isn't it?Cambriahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15244963443929827110noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-104766650369309533.post-18382730755256991882013-11-18T11:15:00.000-08:002013-11-18T11:15:09.176-08:00The Return: Part 1One thing I hate is when people will say they do something yet they never do. Yes I'm aware that I did the exact same thing. IRONY.

This year has ben rough, like really rough. I've basically had homework every night, which is awfl. And as many of you know I've been grounded and stuff. Because of reasons.. (Family memebers will understand)

Um second, I'm going to be writing less and less which I apologize for. And I guess that's an update for ya'll. SO thank you all the people who have been so concerned about me!!Cambriahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15244963443929827110noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-104766650369309533.post-19829069320679625022013-08-14T14:26:00.001-07:002013-08-14T14:26:17.127-07:00Welcome BackHello everybody!!!

A blogger is obsessive over how many views they get in a day.

Their blog has to have the perfect theme.

Bloggers think way too much about how they can diversify their fan-base.

Their blog is seen as a holy place. Where one can meditate and enjoy.

Blogs are more trouble than they are worth, but you wouldn't get rid of yours.

A blog post has to relate to everything and nothing at the same time.

Bloggers sometimes think in everyday situations, "This would be perfect for my blog".

Sometimes bloggers fear that creeps will find them if they post personal things.

A blogger can usually tell if someone else is one of our kind. (another blogger)

Blogs are the best way to tell people your feelings.

Touch. ME.Alright so one thing you should know about me, I hate when people touch my hair. Like seriously don't, don't, don't, touch my hair! Except for my lovely sister who can touch it because she's special. Second thing, I hate hugs. They make me feel like I'm being strangled. Just no.
My teacher is walking around, and I really hope he does not come over and look at what I'm doing. I don't think he'd really mind much but you never know. Oh look here he comes walking closer to this computer. It's not like I didn't get my work done, because I did. And he looked at it and said, "Great job!" Which I graciously accepted it as a compliment instead of one of those things teachers just say as a fill in for awkward moments. So yes, everyone have a great day. for two months, I've liked this gurl. Shes super pretty and realy nice. how should I ask her out/
scareed

Well Scareed,
Judging by your grammar and spelling errors, you should definitely not write this girl a note. She will be confused and probably reject you . So first, get to know this girl better. Yes telling a girl she's pretty works charms, but if that's all you have? Just no. Expect to be rejected. Second, talk to her! Not like flirting, but be nice. Ask about her, let her speak. Final step, ask her out. Approach her in a horizontal manner. It really freaks girls out to be approached from behind or directly in front. Then go right into the question. Say this
"So, we've been talking a lot lately, and I was thinking maybe we should hang out sometime?" Then her response will probably be one of these three things. "Sure, I'd love to" or "No, I thought we could just be friends?" or a mumbled "Umm maybe." Respond to these responses with appropriate remarks.

Have fun,
JUST KIDDING! I hate this day. Let me tell you why..
When I was in kindergarten, my dearest brother was in 5th grade. Of course he would watch out for me.. What a wonderful brother right? So one time he was playing with me, and this girl came over.(It was April 1st by the way) and she had a big bag of oreos. So I was like SWEET! And she offered one to my brother who took one. He paused for a moment and at it. HE said thank you and asked if I could have one ,too. Because he was just that nice. The girl smiled sweetly, and preceded to hand me an oreo. I greedily accepted it. I shoved the entire thing in my mouth... And then it hit me. The disgusting taste of Colgate toothpaste and chocolate. I began to gag and cough. I heard laughter as my vision blurred. My brother wasn't laughing though.. And then my coughing got much worse. The girl looked a little scared. I then puked all over her shoes. She started crying, and my brother looked completely mortified. He picked me up and hauled me to the office to call my mom.. I still am very wary of oreos.Cambriahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15244963443929827110noreply@blogger.com0
