And 1 Thing That Makes Me Sad

Day 6: The hardest thing I've had to experience.

Writing about this will be very hard since I cry every time I talk about it. But, it's for the challenge so I must.
A  few years back my grandmother passed away, and it was truly devastating. I remember the moment I found out, I was in the back of my Aunt's car next to my sister. We were all traveling to Denver to see her in the hospital. When we were told that she had passed away my stomach felt like it dropped. I had just lost one of my hero's, my kindest friend, and my wonderful grandma. The next few weeks were a struggle. I hardly ate and spent nights crying. But I kept going. I overcame the sadness and remembered the humor she brought into my life. I'm grateful for the many years I was able to have with my grandmother and I'm glad that I know I will see her again. :)

Bye!

Advice and My Parents

Well this is Day 3 and 4 put together so yep.

My Parents
I love my mom and dad very much and spend a lot of time with them. As the youngest in my family I've been able to go on more trips with them than my siblings. So we've had some good times. :) They've always given me good advice and shared great stories with me. I look up to the both of them.

Advice I'd Give My 16 Year-Old Self......
Um well I'm 16 now so instead I'll give my 12 year-old self some advice.

  • The world does not revolve around you unfortunately.
  • Don't base your self-worth on your looks.
  • NEVER compare yourself to others.Your achievements are just as incredible as theirs.
  • Good friends are important.
  • No one cares that you have crooked rabbit teeth and fluffy bangs, so get over it.
  • People are mean sometimes but remember what Grandma would say. " Put some lipstick on and keep your chin up!"
  • Life is good so live it well. :)

#3 Fears or Why I Have Issues

Day Two of the thirty day blogging challenge. Woooo going strong. :)
The challenge is to write about three legitimate I have and how they became fears.

1. Large Bodies of Water
I am terrified of the ocean, any large lakes, rivers, and ponds. I don't tell many people that because it's supposedly an "irrational" fear. But it IS rational, and I will tell you why. I went snorkeling on my trip to Hawaii a few years ago and was having a great time. I swam above the coral and felt confident until the reef ended. It was a straight drop off, the ocean floor was miles down. I panicked and couldn't breathe. My cousin came to my rescue but I've been scared ever since.

2.Being Alone
Yuck. I hate being alone just because there are too many things that could go wrong. I have this fear because when I was younger and home by myself I choked on Laffy Taffy and seriously almost died. But luckily I saved myself my ramming my torso into the counter until I threw up so yay! : /

3. BIRDS
GAH. They peck and scratch and attack and just no. Chickens are okay though, only because I grew up with them. I'm really not sure why other birds freak me out but whatever.

Bye.

  2. My computer's space bar is missing! All I have is the little rubber nub...

  7. I've been to lots of different states but haven't left the country yet.

Losing Friends

(I am aware that this blog is usually humorous and uplifting, but unfortunately this post is neither.)

Today was the funeral of one of my old classmates. And though I did not know him very well, I felt sad. He and I had messaged each other a few times over the past year since he left my school. We would say hello and see how the other was doing. After some time we lost contact, except for the occasional season greeting. And when I found out about his unexpected death, I realized something.

Life is a very precious thing that should not be wasted. If you feel lost and discouraged along the way, don't give up. Life was meant to have challenges, some are just much harder than others. It's strange how someone's death can make you really think about life isn't it?
